Installation Notes

Always use new crush washers. Copper and aluminium crush washers permanently deform on first tightening. Reusing them risks leaks, even if the washer visually appears undamaged.

Torque in steps. Hand-tighten first to align the banjo fitting, then torque to the lower spec value. Check for leaks before reaching maximum torque.

Thread identification. Always confirm thread pitch with a thread gauge — M10×1.0 and M10×1.25 look identical by eye. Cross-threading or using the wrong pitch will strip threads and cause failure.

Brake system critical. For brake and clutch line banjo bolts, use copper washers and replace on every removal. Brake system leaks are catastrophic — always bench-bleed and test before driving.
